Join fellow students as we take a trip into the North Georgia Mountains for Labor Day. The holiday’s not long enough to go home—so why not use your time off to go camping? No matter the extent of your outdoors experience, this trip is for everyone. There will be food, hiking on Blood Mountain, campfire, fellowship, and of course, God’s great outdoors. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know people if you’re new to Tech. (What better way to familiarize yourself with someone than sleeping on the ground in close quarters in the dark with only 2 sleeping bag layers separating you, as you contemplate the intricacies of the effects of Pork ‘n Beans on both of your gastrointestinal systems?) If you’ve got gear, be sure to RSVP with Gabe so we know what our resources are. And if you don’t have gear, still RSVP with Gabe. See you there!
Vital info:
What: One night of camping for Labor Day
When: leave 1pm Sunday 8/31 from Student Center parking lot, get back 5pm Monday 9/1
Where: Vogel State Park
Who: Everyone—girls and guys. (We’ll have the appropriate guidelines in place.)
How much: Free, but if you eat community food, please pay for a share.
RSVP: Gabe, for attendance and to let him know what camping gear you can bring.
Bring: Sleeping bag and tent (if you have them), pillow and sheets/blankets, flashlight, bug spray, money for Monday dinner and shared food, long pants and sleeves, jacket, toiletries, towel, water(bottle), Bible, journal, pen, and anything else you need for camping. (Preferably fit it all in one backpack or bag.)

Rejected Tag Lines:
- “Making a Steak is a Piece of Cake!”
- “Bake a Cake While Nothing’s at Stake”
- others … you honestly don’t want to hear them
Think you can make the best steak on campus? Is you cake just to die for? Friday, April 18th is the 2nd Annual Steak-Off and Cake-Off, the best end-of-semester contest ever! Make your most mouth-watering steak or bring your most delectable cake. Do both if you like! You could even make a cake that looks like a steak, or a cake with steak in it (while somewhat interesting, this idea is not recommended).
Prizes will be awarded to the tastiest creations, as well as the most creative one.
So … what’s it gonna take for you to make a steak or bake a cake?

Ever wanted to dress up as your favorite movie character? Well here’s your chance to do it in public without people thinking that you are random and/or weird (although that’s okay, too). Crusade is giving you a great opportunity to dress as the character you choose. You can be gorgeous, outlandish, funny, prestigious … whatever you want! The costume is completely up to you.
If you’d rather, wear something elegant and imagine you are attending an award show.
On Friday, March 28, Campus Crusade for Christ will host “A Night at the Movies“. Not only can you dress up, but there will also be dancing, food, and fun (so make sure your clothing is comfortable enough to dance around in)! Bring any of your friends who are interested, whether they are involved in Crusade or not. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed!
The event will be at Kennesaw State University’s ballroom and will begin at 8:45pm.
Hope you can join us!
